Here’s an inventory of adjectives to help you describe how you look at your best. We've seen thousands of resumes and CVs that say people are "motivated team players." Those are great things to be, yet too many people write the exact same words. So they end up sounding like everyone else.

Use this list to get you started down your career branding path.  Remember, being great at work is not only about What you do (knowledge, skills, past experiences). It's also about How you do it. This list will help you articulate how you relate to people, how you think, how you influence, and how you get work done.

Remember that career branding isn't reserved for those who are looking for a job. Consider who you want to become and what you want to be known for. And then make small, constant steps toward that reputation. We meet a lot of people who are great at things they hate doing. We call them "laundry tasks" because it's like doing the laundry: you're great at it, but you don't want to do everyone else's. At work, you get asked to do what you're known for. This exercise helps you ensure you're getting more of what you want versus getting more of Susie's laundry.
