The assessment is made up of 177 questions. As you answer the questions, it will stack rank your answers and offer you clarity on the ways of thinking and acting that seem most like you when you’re at your best.
There are 34 Talent Themes. In the Top 5 CliftonStrengths version of the assessment, you’ll see your top 5 talent themes. These give you a new way to look at your areas of greatest potential. We look at them like they’re your easy buttons for effectiveness. If you decide to get the CliftonStrengths 34 (premium) version of the assessment, it will tell you the full stack rank order of all 34 potential talent themes.
One interesting thing to know about the design of the tool is that it is not a personality assessment. This surprises people. Rather than telling you about the introvert/extrovert scale and the people/task focus scale (as most personality assessments do), this survey uses a different scale.
When the behavioral scientists at Gallup designed this tool, they studied elements that make people successful. Rather than telling you about your personality, it’s more like your success factors. It will tell you how you can approach any job to bring your best performance – by using the thought processes and actions that put you at your natural best.
